UFC Heavyweight Marcus Buchecha's first performance in the Octagon left some fans to evoke the extinction of the division.
Marcus Buchecha, a 13-way Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion and one of the biggest submission artists in the history of the discipline, dropped his UFC debut on Saturday to Martin Buday to start the UFC Abu Dhabi event on Saturday. Buchecha was considered one of the largest UFC signing sessions of the year after a long successful term of office in one championship.
Buchecha was opened as one of the biggest favorites on the map and looked flat and sloppy with his wrestling against Buday in the cage. After three rounds, Buuchecha ran away with a unanimous decision in his debut.

Legend Marcus Buchecha suffered amazing upset to start UFC Abu Dhabi card
After the performance of Buchecha, fans were extremely critical of the Brazilian legend on social media. Some called for UFC CEO Dana White to dismantle the heavyweight division after watching Buchecha vs. Buday.
In a recent Instagram post Bachecha Buchecha are social media stilte after UFC Abu Dhabi.
“My UFC debut did not go as I dreamed, but that is part of the game. I made many mistakes and paid the price with the loss,” said Buchecha. “I know that I have much to improve, and unfortunately I couldn't perform at my best. All the honor of my opponent for the victory. Congratulations, Martin Buday with the fight. It was an honor to share the cage with you.
“This was not the first time I have been lost, nor will it be the last one. I have lost a lot in my career, and I have always used those defeats as lessons and learning experiences, and this time there will be no different.
“Thank you to everyone who supported me, helped me come here, and to everyone who encourages me. As the saying reads:” What you don't kill makes you stronger! “And I still live here.”
Buchecha signed at the UFC after a victory over Amir Aliakbari on one 169 last November. He went 5-1 in one cage before he made the switch to the UFC agent corner.
'Big' John McCarthy shared 'Fair' assessment of controversial UFC Abu Dhabi interruption
After the loss of Buchecha, the UFC Abu Dhabi Prelims contained a UFC record six knockdowns in a single fight of featherweight Steven Nguyen against the hero of the hometown of Mohammad Yahya. Nguyen dropped Yahya six times before referee Jason Herzog eventually waved at the end of the second round of the fight.
Many experts and fellow hunters were extremely critical about Herzog after UFC Abu Dhabi. The famous referee 'Big' John McCarthy agreed with Herzog's decision to play the battle, but says that the action should have stopped earlier.
Yahya walked away with a horrible eye injury in the loss against Nguyen, so that critics of the official Herzog were further evoked. Herzog is considered one of the best in the game by many, but UFC Abu Dhabi contained a rare mistake.
