Neymar hints at Inter Miami transfer and reunion with Lionel Messi in MLS

Neymar has sparked rumors of a possible reunion with his former Barcelona teammates Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi at Inter Miami.

While catching up on a video game, the Brazilian stunner expressed his feelings while playing alongside digital representations of the fantastic 'MSN' trio, hinting at a possible future collaboration. During their heyday at Barcelona between 2014 and 2017, Messi, Suarez and Neymar – the formidable 'MSN' – scored an impressive total of 364 goals and 173 assists, surpassing their achievements by achieving a treble during the 2014-2015 season.

After parting ways when Neymar moved to Paris Saint-Germain, he briefly reunited with Messi in 2021 when the Argentina star moved to France. Both have since left Paris; Neymar for Al-Hilal and Messi for MLS's Inter Miami in 2023.

However, during a promotional event for Konami's E-Football, where the trio played as their Barcelona avatars, Neymar reminisced about their great chemistry, saying at one point: “I wish I was there too.”

While the 32-year-old's comments could be interpreted in a number of ways, it appears he is missing his former teammates as they bask in the Miami sunshine. Neymar has never been shy about expressing his desire to reunite with Messi on the pitch, reportedly telling ESPN Argentina: “I don't know. I have some doubts about that.

“I don't know if I will play in Brazil again. I would actually like to play in the US. I would like to play there at least a season.”

Furthermore, the former PSG star expressed his disappointment over an unfulfilling reunion with Messi in Paris, as he revealed to Globo's Esporte Espetacular: I was very happy with the year he had, but at the same time very sad, because he had both sides of the coin. He went to heaven with the Argentina team, won everything in recent years, and with Paris he lived in hell, we lived through hell, both he and I.”

Neymar added: “We get upset because we are there for a reason, we are there to do our best. [to] be a champion, try to make history. That's why we started playing together again, we came together there so we could make history. Unfortunately we didn't make it.”
