2025 NWSL fixtures revealed: what games to watch out for, key dates

Orlando Pride are the team to beat as the countdown for the new NWSL season is in full swing.

The countdown to the new 2025 NWSL season is in full swing, with all teams currently finalizing their rosters and preparing for pre-season training camps.

This will be the final fourteen-team league campaign, with Bos Nation FC set to join the league in 2026, with the Boston franchise later joining the sixteenth team after the city of Denver was granted an expansion license.

2024 saw the league break attendance and television viewing records and we hope to continue this positive momentum as the profile for the NWSL grows both domestically and with international audiences.

The format of the competition remains the same, with all teams playing each other on a home/away basis, with the last eight in the standings progressing to the play-offs.

We're counting down to March 2025

The new campaign kicks off on March 14, when reigning champion Orlando Price welcomes Chicago Red Stars to Florida, while Houston Dash-Washington Spirit kicks off at the same time.

The regular season continues until the weekend of October 31, Decision Day, when the final games take place.

Ahead of the end of the campaign, there will be a rivalry weekend from August 8 to 10 that will focus on high-profile derby matches (Portland-Seattle, San Diego-Angel City along with a clash between Gotham and Washington).

The play-offs start on November 7 and 9, with the semi-finals a week later and the championship finals scheduled for November 22, with the venue to be confirmed later by the NWSL.
