Melvin Guillard is surprisingly happy in the aftermath of his last MMA loss.
At the height of his career, 'The Young Assassin' enjoyed a 22-Vechtrun with the most important promotion of MMA, which confronted him to opponents of great name such as Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone, Jim Miller, Jeremy Stephens and Nate Diaz.
The former lightweight competition was cut by the UFC after a loss for Michael Johnson in March 2014.
Since then he has collected an MMA victory during a terrible run where fans begged him to retire.

Melvin Guillard responds to his latest MMA loss
Melvin Guillard was drawn when he suffered a 10th consecutive MMA defeat on Saturday evening.
Josiah Harrell, who was drawn briefly at the UFC before he was cut because he needed brain surgery, made it easy to look while stretching his undefeated record to 9-0 in the main event of Ohio Combat League 38.
Viral images show that Guillard is dumped on his head before he is choked in his last loss.
Fans hoped that 10 in a row would convince the 42-year-old to finally retire, but that doesn't happen.
On Sunday Guillard shared a shockingly cheerful explanation with his Instagram story.
“Still a good week, even with the outcome,” he wrote.
“Mindset and weight is where it should be.”
What is the next step for Melvin Guillard?
Melvin Guillard will soon have the chance to end his Winless Run, but it will not be in MMA.
In July he is expected to get rid of the 50-year-old Patrick Hutton in a kickboxing fight.
Hutton's 5-12 MMA record suggests that he should not be a problem for the former UFC star.
Only time will learn whether Guillard will be able to take his first victory in eight years at Hybrid FC 2.
