The past few years have been very tough for Ansu Fati. Since his injury problems began, he has struggled to reach the level he once showed. There was hope that things would improve under Hansi Flick, but again, the same issues have arisen and that is why he finds himself on the fringes of the first-team squad.
However, Fati has now recovered from his latest injury and was included in the squad for Atletico Madrid (although he was not called up from the bench). Still, the fact that he is back is good news for Flick, who wants to use him in the second half of the season.
The problem for Fati is that he is running out of time. According to Sport, the second half of the season will be his last chance to prove he is worthy of staying at Barcelona. If he doesn't deliver, there's a good chance he'll hit the market next summer.
Fati has had a lot of bad luck, but even when he had opportunities he didn't take them. Barcelona does not have unlimited patience.
