Checked with promotional newcomer Aaron Pico in a Co-Main event conflict with high effort, the British favorite Lerone Murphy enjoyed a huge version in Chicago.
Murphy launched a highlight-reel finish over the former PFL and Bellator star and finished Pico with a heli-apple rotating elbow knockout in the first round of their collision.

And supported by UFC CEO Dana White to challenge Gold Next, Murphy has already offered an exact time frame for his premiere title shot.

An eternal competition in featherweight, Murphy needed a statement victory to get himself a chance on Alexander Volkanovski and the division crown of promotion.
And with the devastating finish last night of the debut Pico, Murphy certainly attracted the attention of Volkanovski, who has already offered him a title fight.

And probably to get Yair Rodriguez in line for a shot on featherweight gold, Murphy will have to bring his top game to a showdown with ex-pound-for-Pond packs Volkanovski.
It is best known for his all-round approach in the Octagon, Murphy, at least a Spits-IS, managed to avoid the dangerous skills that can be seen from both Josh Emmett and colleague UFC 319 star Edson Barboza in speeching victories.

A technically healthy striker and wrestler, related to likely next enemy Volkanovski, might face the biggest test of his impressive Octagon -Stint so far if it is placed against the Aussie star.

To cross the massive test of two -time champion Volkanovski, Murphy has to get a considerable rabbit out of the proverbial hat.
If he then wants to fight with Volkanovski, Murphy will be more than self -confident, that's for sure. The Manchester Top Team Star has an unbeaten 17-0-1 professional record with the receiving side of a loss in his career.
And it is that trust that a key to success will be for Murphy – who cannot afford to wilt when they are confronted with Volkanovski, like many opponents rather for the New South Wales star.
Technically standing out is also the name of the game for Murphy in a hypothetical matchup with Volkanovski, which is more than competent in that department itself.
Out-Techniquing All Ilia Topuria During his featherweight Run, Volkanovski has styled on people like Diego Lopes and Chan Sung Jung, as well as three-field enemy Max Holloway.
Another key to victory for Murphy will come in his ability to grab the chance.
As we have seen – too recently, Volkanovski has been on the receiving side of a few large shots, namely in his losses at the Islam Makhachev and his demolition at the hands of Ilia Topuria.

And despite the rebound with a title victory on Lopes earlier this year, Murphy would be wise to review that late second round exchange for the buzzer.
