3 things Sean O’Malley can do to beat Merab Dvalishvili in their UFC 316 rematch

The UFC 316 Main Event brings the rematch between Sean O'Malley and Merab Dvalishvili for the UFC Bantamweight Championship.

In the first game, Merab Dvalishvili Sean O'Malley dominated UFC 306 in the impressive setting of the Bol in Las Vegas.

Despite the fact that O'Malley claimed that he won the fight, Dvalishvili won the UFC Bantamweight title due to unanimous decision after dominating the Irishman.

O'Malley has applied a number of lifestyle changes since that defeat awaiting his Rematch on UFC 316.

However, there are 3 important things he has to do if he wants to beat Dvalishhvili in New Jersey on 7 June.

Sean O'Malley must use his length and reach benefit

The Main Event of UFC 316 will have to be a striking competition if O'Malley has the chance to win, because he has countless factors that make him superior to Dvalishvili on his feet.

O'Malley lands on average 6.7 strikes per minute in the UFC, with an impressive 61% strike accuracy.

His combination of speed, strength and intelligence is what O'Malley made a champion, although he did not show that in his first fight against Dvalishvili.

His 72-inch range is 4 centimeters longer than that of the champion, while O'Malley is 5 feet 11 inches compared to the 5 Foot 6 inch Dvalishhvili.

“Suga” can use these benefits to continue to use his favorite mid -section stairs and long straight punches to wear out his opponent and to keep him away from him as much as possible.

The former champion must use these physical properties to his advantage, although this is not the only thing that he has to use.

The Takedown -violation of Merab Dvalishvili is something that Sean O'Malley encounters

Dvalishvili is called “the machine” for a reason. He is relentlessly put down his opponent in an attempt and put it on the mat.

With 6 Takedowns in their first fight, O'Malley never had the chance to take control of the fight and was in defense for the most part of it.

His Georgian opponent had more than 10 minutes of the game check, with the Irishman never ever entered a devastating loss on top of Dvalishvili.

Training to improve his Takedown defense is the key if O'Malley wants to defeat the UFC Bantamweight Champion on UFC 316, although Joe Rogan does not see how he will stop Dvalishvili and love him for the full five rounds.

If he can stay on his feet, the aforementioned access benefit will come into play and O'Malley will give the best chance of walking back from New Jersey as a champion.

Sean O'Malley must ensure that he has been fully recovered from his hip injury

After losing the first fight on UFC 306, the coaches of O'Malley blamed the result of that fight.

They claimed that the injury prevented him from doing enough training to prepare for the fight, so that he without the possibility of doing a real grasping exercise.

With his 6 Takedowns that helped Dvalishvili to dominate on the mat in their fight, the Georgian was clearly aware of this issue and focused on O'Malley's injuries everywhere.

The Irishman must be in top physical form to go to UFC 316 without nagging injuries that require surgery that weigh it in the octhoek.

He has to check out everything and release before 7 June if O'Malley has the hope to beat Dvalishvili and become a 2-time UFC Bantamweight champion.
