Manchester United hopes this summer to close a deal that will see them sign Wolves and Brazil Vooruit Matheus Cunha, but some outputs may have to be done before they do that
Marcus Rashford is one of the four players who hopes to sell Manchester United to make room for Matheus Cunha. The Wolves star has been identified as a priority signing for the men of Ruben Amorim while trying to repair their goals.
The Red Devils try to agree the personal conditions with the Brazilian attacker and have had conversations with the player's agent. If that happens, they will hold conversations with wolves and negotiate how they can pay the £ 62 million released clause written in his contract with the Midlands Club
United has to free up some space in their team to sign Cunha, with a number of potential sale already identified. A large number of stars that are currently on loan are the first to be thrown overboard.
England -Duo Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho are in the middle of loan spells with Aston Villa and Chelsea respectively. Villa has an option of £ 40 million to buy the first, while Chelsea's obligation to buy Sancho permanently is already activated – although the blues can still go back by paying a fine of £ 5 million. United Chiefs hope to sell the pair and earn back a combined £ 65 million.
Antony is currently an impression on real betis and it is hoped that the Spanish side pursues a permanent step – although United has to take a big hit on the former Ajax wing player. Defender Tyrell Malacia is at PSV Eindhoven and also seems to have little future at Old Trafford.
If those four are moved, it will pay for both Cunha and help to alleviate a few PSR cares from the club, giving them more room to manouvere in the market of this summer.
Cuha, 25, has shown Wolves this season and scored 14 league goals on the way to Premier League Safety. And it is clear that United Boss Ruben Amorim is a big fan. Speaking after the defeat against Wolves at the weekend, the Portuguese head coach said: “(Vorror Pereira) has real quality players – Cunha and all these guys, they have real quality. They are fresh. I gave the example because I remembered about Matheus – he scored many goals.
Cunha has four years on the new contract that he only signed in the Black Country in February. Nevertheless, his future stays in the air, while he recently became involved in an online spit with a Wolves fank channel.
Cunha shared a post: “Time to be happy. I will follow my dreams, not yours. So stay cool,” that was quickly removed. A fan account then shared the message, something that Cunha was out of the exception.
He answered: “Do you know what you want? If people don't like me here, I unfortunately go to the field to solve the problem of your favorite club. I am not here looking for alternatives to be someone important. Fans roots for their own, they don't create any accidents.”
After he was told that his accusations were incorrect, Cunha then doubled. “I'm sorry, but that's exactly what you want. The first to report fake news, not what was really in the news, I make a video and pretend it is irrelevant,” he wrote.
“What you do not understand is that you are an opinion maker, if you are not allowed to, that is a nice friend. And in the end every negative interpretation you have is the first to reproduce. Let's do the following. Just we only have the wolves I love so much.”
