Nursulton Ruziboev hit the deck heavily in the first round. Dustin Stoltzfus followed him on the floor and started squeezing a guillotine choke, the UFC commentators of which thought it was very tight.
When Ruziboev eventually came out of the submission and his way back to his feet, it was pointed out that he was being brought down by an unintended headbump.
The 185 pound Gigant managed to turn the tide at the end of the round while compiling striking attacks, making his opponent look a bit uncomfortable.
It was a grab-heavy second Stanza. Both men had their moments, but Ruziboev probably took it on the score cards because he was more effective with his ground and pounds.
The pace delayed in round three, but Ruziboev and Stoltzfus still managed to stand it out.
Ruziboev landed the larger shots before he was brought to the floor after three minutes.
Stoltzfus enjoyed a minute of top control before his opponent appeared when he tried to lock up a d'Arce choke.
Ruziboev had just enough time to get a big shot for the last bell.

Ruziboev wants the chance to bring two losses in a row for the 7-1 middleweight perspective.
“Bo Nickal, that's who he wants afterwards,” a translator told Michael Bisping during the interview of Ruziboev.
Now it's just a matter of waiting to see if Nickal is interested in the 6ft 5 in Giant.
