While we enter the last week of the summer transfer window, there are still a few large deals that have to be closed. Some loose ends, however, are tied up, with Ebereechi the newest player to get his move after he has come to Arsenal.
We have now had Premier League promotion for two weeks, giving teams a better idea of ​​what they need. Some clubs that may have felt happily with their company at the beginning of August now realize that more work could be needed.
Reigning champion Liverpool drove to the last term to the title with very little in the way of expenditure, but things have changed for them this term. They have broken the British transfer record to sign Florian Wirtz, and they may not be ready yet.
On the other side of the table, the newly promoted Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland have been busy to varying degrees and all three have started the campaign with a home win and a loss.
