Only a few days before his vicious BKFC debut loss, 80-Vecht UFC veteran Aleksei Oleinik gave to a series of brutal struggles that force him to fight.
The former UFC weight weight will be 48 this year, but is still urging to compete despite his career at the highest level that ends effectively years ago. He left the UFC with a 9-8 record in 2022, and has since participated wherever and whenever he can, albeit with more than a year before last night.
On Friday, he was brutally eliminated within 90 seconds by Geronimo Dos Santos while Conor McGregor watched in the first of a BKFC -double header in Dubai. After the fact, a worrying interview arose that he had given to Russian media with details about the struggles with which he was aimed at in and out of the ring.
Aleksei Oleinik claimed that he has 'no place to live' just before he suffers BKFC Ko
In an interview with Sport24 that has been translated into English, Aleksei Oleinik said reporters that he didn't even want to fight before he went his BKFC debut. However, outside the ring problems, he left him in a heavy financial position and as such he still has to compete on 47-year-old.
In the heartbreaking video, he would reportedly say: “I tried to work somehow, earn money, etc. And I realized that there was a weak prospect that I would earn something for myself, well, in fact nothing for me has succeeded, I can just live it, deserve a piece of bread for yourself.
“If I want to get something in terms of my own corner or apartment, I have to return to my profession [fighting] And that's what I really didn't want. That is actually the only way I can be paid now, well, the biggest money only for this. No masterclases, no training or anything else.
“What else can I do? I didn't want to fight, I don't have a desire and the state of my health is not quite what it was seven, 10, 15 years ago and so on, and so on …
“I need that money for housing. I don't have a place to live. I am sorry, but if my leg breaks now and can no longer be resolved, I can't earn anything at all. And where will I live? With the background I had, the cars I had, the houses I had, the houses I had, what I had had achieved.
'Damn, I don't know, shall I live on the street or at the train station? I want to live somewhere else, it doesn't sound nice. I want to live in a small place, but one that is mine. I had a house in Florida that was 500 meters-squared on the same way as Donald Trump! “
Aleksei Oleinik was brutally stopped for Conor McGregor
Unfortunately for Oleinik, the fight did not go as planned and it might again have spelled the end of his battle career. Although he may have received a Bumper Betaaldag, in particular fighting in the middle where purses are higher, questions will be asked about whether the damage was worth it.
When he came out of the UFC in 2022, he was much better known for his struggle than his striking, but he had since taken and won a pure boxing fight in Russia. However, it did not work for him during Fight Night, because he was brutally eliminated within 90 seconds.
With just over 20 seconds to go in De Ronde, Dos Santos shot a huge overhead right that Oleinik rode on the chin. Despite making big shots in his career of heavy batters such as Derrick Lewis and Alistair Overeem, he immediately made him unconscious.
