Match Today: Paris Saint-Germain vs Benfica 11-10-2022 UEFA Champions League

Paris Saint-Germain will seek to cement their place at the top of Group H in the Champions League when they welcome Benfica's confidence at Parc des Princes on Tuesday.

The entertaining draw between PSG and Benfica just a week ago was a fair result, and kept both teams' starters unbeaten in their respective seasons. But PSG could fantasize about breaking Benfica's astonishing record when the Portuguese giants make a trip to Parc des Princes to repeat last week's Champions League Group H match on Tuesday night.

Both teams are tied by seven points in the group ahead of this decisive encounter, and the winner is likely to seal their place in the knockout stages. Juventus' meeting with Maccabi Haifa, which will be held before kick-off at the Parc des Princes

Paris Saint-Germain vs Benfica

After a smooth start to the season, Donna Kylian Mbappe's mentality has been on display in recent weeks, with the forward behaving very selfishly on the pitch at times and getting into minor skirmishes with his teammates.

Mbappe also recently uploaded an Instagram post in which he appeared to indicate that he was unhappy with his role in the team, which followed statements he made before the international break, calling PSG coach Christophe Galtier's tactics questionable. Paris Saint-Germain dropped on points for the second time this season, drawing 0-0 with Reims at the weekend.

They have drawn their last two matches and will be looking to get back on track on Tuesday. However, this would by no means be a piece of cake, when considering what great season Benfica is having.

The Portuguese giant achieved a winning streak of thirteen matches before successive draws with Vitoria SC and Paris Saint-Germain. But they got back to winning ways with their 4-2 win over Rio Ave at the weekend.

The Eagles have yet to lose a game since the arrival of new coach Roger Schmidt, who lives up to the hype of Bayer Leverkusen's early days. The Portuguese giants are running high at the top of La Liga and brimming with confidence as this match approaches.
