The USMNT player has had a great season with Milan, which has seen him ranked among the 100 best footballers by The Guardian.
Christian Pulisic is perhaps having the best period of his career since his debut at Borussia Dortmund and his turbulent time at Chelsea.
The player now dubbed 'Captain America' is now blossoming at AC Milan and has reached a level of performance that makes him one of the standout players in the first half of the Serie A season.
Pulisic has played a major role for Milan, with eight goals and six assists in 20 games. This great form has earned him a place on The Guardian's prestigious list of the 100 best footballers of 2024.
Pulisic named in the top 100 in the world
For the first time since 2017, Pulisic has reappeared in the rankings, this time securing 95th place – a significant improvement from the 77th position he held seven years ago.
In 2024, including the conclusion of the 2023/24 Serie A season and the start of the 2024/25 season, Pulisic has made 48 appearances, scoring 16 goals and providing 13 assists at club level. Internationally, he has contributed five goals and three assists for the USMNT this year.
His consistent performances have earned him nominations for Serie A's Player of the Month and AC Milan's MVP. In addition, Pulisic has been nominated for U.S. Soccer's Male Player of the Year for the fifth consecutive year, an award he has won four times in a row.
Given Pulisic's impact, AC Milan are reportedly working on an extension to his contract, recognizing his crucial role under coach Paulo Fonseca.
Pulisic and Jonathan David: representatives of CONCACAF among the elite
Pulisic is the only American on The Guardian's top 100 list, but he is not the only representative of CONCACAF. He is joined by Canadian striker Jonathan David, who has also had an exceptional year. David's 17 goals and four assists in the current campaign, combined with 26 goals and nine assists from the previous season, have earned him 77th on the list, making him the highest-ranked CONCACAF player.
Together, Pulisic and David are shining examples of CONCACAF's growing presence in global football, showcasing their talent on some of the world's biggest stages.
