Kyle Walker and Annie Kilner are planning to put their £15million divorce battle aside and spend Christmas Day together as a family for the sake of their children.
The England and Manchester City star, 34, was kicked out of his family home after secretly fathering a second child with his ex-lover Lauryn Goodman, 33.
Influencer Lauryn told Annie, also 33, on December 27 last year: 'Hey, it's Lauryn. I just wanted to quickly tell you that Kyle is the father of our daughter.”
Walker, who shares four children with Annie, is facing a huge divorce battle with his estranged wife over his £27million fortune in the new year.
But Annie is willing to put that aside and let the England defender back into the house so he can spend Christmas Day with their children, The Sun first reported.
A fellow football WAG close to the family told MailOnline: 'Kyle and Annie put their marital problems aside to celebrate Christmas with their children.
'They are the couples' priority and they want to bring Christmas joy into their home for their young family.
'It's important that both parents are present. While Annie bears the brunt of caring for the family, Kyle is busy with his four boys and they adore him.
The source added: 'Conversations between the two about what their future looks like continue, but for now it's all about their children and what's best for them.
'Annie is a strong woman who just wants to see her boys happy. She'll do anything for them, but she hasn't forgotten what Kyle did. This is about the kids, and the kids only.”
Walker will spend the morning with his family before working with his Man City teammates to prepare for their Boxing Day clash with Everton.
A spokesperson for Walker declined to comment.
Walker's Man City side will be determined to get back to winning ways after losing nine of their last 12 games.
Walker will be fighting for a place back in the team after being eliminated against Aston Villa on Saturday.
It came after he was branded a 'cheat' for his acting dive against Manchester United when he dramatically fell to the ground after a head-to-head clash with Rasmus Hojlund.
It follows a tumultuous 12 months for Walker, who has been embroiled in a major paternity scandal.
The couple split last December after it was revealed Walker had fathered his second child with Lauryn, who texted Kilner to reveal the news.
Walker was subsequently evicted from the family home and Annie instructed lawyers to begin legal proceedings as she prepared to fight for half of Man City's vast fortune.
After Kilner began legal proceedings for divorce, a source told MailOnline: 'Things are as bad between them as they have ever been. It wasn't like a normal marriage.
'They hardly spoke to each other.
“She's divorcing Kyle because she just can't forgive him for what he did to her. She can't get over it. She tried.
“Kyle seems to have accepted that it's over. He has been happier in the last week. As if the weight of the world has fallen from his shoulders.'
It will mark another legal battle for Walker.
In July, Walker and Lauryn fought in court over child support for their two children, Kairo and Kinara.
The judge awarded Goodman to receive £12,500 a month and £51,000 for a new car every three years. But her requests for an air conditioning unit worth £33,000 and astro turf worth £31,200 were rejected.
Many of her claims were rejected by the judge, who concluded that she was 'not trustworthy'. Walker, who was described as 'sensible, honest and trustworthy', told the court he was not an 'open chequebook'.
