Oleksandr Usyk gives verdict on Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua after beating heavyweight rivals twice

Oleksandr Usyk has shared his thoughts on a possible British superfight.

The WBO, WBC and WBC heavyweight champion is fresh off a second victory over Tyson Fury, whom he dropped en route to a split-decision victory in May before outpointing him again last weekend.

Oleksandr Usyk will take some well-deserved rest before potentially battling another Englishman, Daniel Dubois, for all-title titles after the IBF title holder defends against Joseph Parker on February 22.

'The Gypsy King' still has plenty of options on the table. The most lucrative is a highly anticipated and highly anticipated grudge match with former two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

Oleksandr Usyk predicts Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua

Oleksandr Usyk defeated Anthony Joshua twice by decision to establish his heavyweight dominance.

AJ is weighing his options after being battered and stopped in six rounds by Dubois in September.

After years of failed negotiations between their respective camps, now seems like the perfect time to make Fury vs Joshua.

On Sunday, Usyk did not hesitate to answer when asked which of the English duo gave him the toughest 24 rounds.

“Tyson Fury,” he told Boxing King Media.

Despite finding Fury more difficult to deal with, the undefeated Ukrainian is making his latest victim the underdog in a potential fight with Joshua.

“Maybe it's Anthony Joshua,” Usyk added when asked to predict the British blockbuster.

“I don't know, maybe points. Don't know.”

Lennox Lewis looks forward to 'biggest fight in history'

Boxing legend Lennox Lewis reacted immediately when he saw Fury lose to Usyk again on Saturday evening.

The former undisputed heavyweight champion believes the right man won, but he understands why his compatriot may feel he has been screwed by the judges.

“It was a good fight,” Lewis told TNT Sports.

“I would have liked to see Tyson be a little more aggressive and go to Usyk a little more. Since he won the first fight, it's up to Tyson to go after him and make sure he wins the second fight.

“I didn't hear the score. As for the winner, yes [they got it right].”

“He'll feel like maybe he won the fight. I don't know because I felt like he could have done more work. You know, Usyk hit him in the body a few times, giving him free shots, and that scores points, so I think the judges looked at that.

The conversation ended with the interviewer asking, “What's next for Fury?”

Lewis responded by calling on him to finally argue with Joshua. The two men have been dancing around a potential heavyweight superfight for years. Even though there are no titles on the line, Lewis believes this is still the greatest fight of all time.

He added: “[Fury] heads to London for the biggest fight in history. Maybe Anthony Joshua.
