One of the surprises of this year's season was Ilaix Moriba's form at Celta Vigo. The 21-year-old is in excellent form after a number of seasons on loan to La Liga that were far less fruitful.
He was loaned out to Balaidos again this summer and has taken on the starting role in midfield, winning over his teammates as well. According to Florian Plettenberg, they plan to exercise his purchase option, which is approximately €4.5 million.
However, they may be able to sell him on to a Premier League side next summer. Ilaix failed to impress at RB Leipzig, his parent club, and made just six appearances for the Bundesliga.
Moriba joined Barcelona and was sold to Leipzig for €15 million after they failed to agree a new contract with the Guinea international. They also have a 10% sell-on clause in his contract. If he seals a big move to England this summer, Leipzig will feel shortchanged.
