Arsenal could spend millions under Mikel Arteta in January and have a brilliant starting XI by the end of the month.
The January transfer window is now open and the Gunners could be busy. Arteta's side are currently locked in a battle for the Premier League.
A number of new arrivals in the coming month could finally get them over the line, even if they still have to bring in Liverpool in the process. One blow that has put them on the back foot is Bukayo Saka's injury.
The Arsenal Academy graduate has undergone surgery following a hamstring injury. That could well force the north London side onto the market.
And a number of players have already been linked with the Gunners. Take a look at the incredible side they could play in February:
Let's start where Arsenal could spend the biggest money: on attack. Saka's absence could force them to sign a new right winger.
Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams has long been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium. And while Saka will likely be Arteta's starting winger for the foreseeable future, Williams would be a perfect addition for now.
If we stay at the front, there could also be a new name on the opposite flank. Wolves star Matheus Cunha has been identified as an Arsenal target after his stunning start to the current season. And while he is comfortable centrally, he would be a brilliant upgrade for compatriot Gabriel Martinelli.
As for the in-form Premier League forwards, the Gunners could opt to sign another player for their central striker role. Alexander Isak already has 12 Premier League goals to his name, so he would be a great signing, but a potential price tag of £150 million could potentially be a major stumbling block.
Moving to midfield, there could be another addition. After signing Mikel Merino from Real Sociedad last summer, Arsenal could potentially reopen talks with the Spanish side for the services of his former teammate Martin Zubimendi.
Reports earlier this year suggested he was 'ready' to accept a move to the Emirates. But Arsenal could face competition from Premier League rivals Liverpool. Captain Martin Odegaard will remain in midfield despite links with other stars including Arda Guler.
In defence, Arteta is not expected to opt to strengthen, but they practically already have two new signings at the Emirates. Riccardo Calafiori only joined from Genoa this summer and hopes to carve out a role for himself in the future.
Meanwhile, Jurrien Timber is finally showing his true potential after seeing his debut campaign ruined by injury. He will likely play a key role alongside Gabriel, William Saliba and David Raya.
Arsenal's potential XI: Raya; Calafiori, Gabriel, Saliba, Wood; Rice, Zubimendi, Odegaard; Williams, Cunha, Isaac.
