What Barcelona believe they have to do to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor with La Liga

Barcelona are facing an institutional crisis of their own making, with Dani Olmo and Pau Victor signing out after the January deadline. As things stand, they won't be able to play the rest of the season.

The Blaugrana are confident they can register both and have them available for the rest of the season, despite the obvious problem, after applying for their licenses with the RFEF. They believe that if they can demonstrate full payment of the €100 million deal for their VIP boxes at the Camp Nou, La Liga will give the green light to the RFEF to grant both players their licenses.

From their point of view, they presented the contractual agreement to La Liga on time, but were asked for further payment guarantees, following previous cases where Barcelona made deals but did not receive payment. MD says Barcelona believe they will have all the documents ready by Friday, and they aim to resolve the matter before Hansi Flick's pre-match press conference for their Copa del Rey clash with Barbastro.

Meanwhile, RAC1 explains that Barcelona have received part of that €100 million fee, but internal sources acknowledge that not all the necessary money was in their accounts by the deadline. If it is paid in full on Friday and the agreement is submitted before the deadline, they hope to still get the green light.
