‘Brother, you have to help me please’… Khabib Nurmagomedov has to be saved after skiing accident

Khabib Nurmagomedov had to be helped out of the snow after falling during a recent ski trip in Utah.

The legendary former lightweight champion is currently training Islam Makhachev and Umar Nurmagomedov for their UFC 311 main and co-main events. But he managed to take some time to enjoy the slopes in Utah as things start to wrap up for the two world title fighters.

The undefeated fighter is set for a busy start to the year; he goes straight from Los Angeles to Dubai to corner his cousin Usman Nurmagomedov. He defends his lightweight title against Ireland's Paul Hughes in a fight that has reignited the Dagestan-Ireland feud dating back to Khabib versus Conor McGregor.

Khabib Nurmagomedov needs to be rescued after ski trip goes wrong

During a recent ski trip on the slopes in Utah, Khabib Nurmagomedov had to beg for help after his attempts failed and he became stuck in the snow. In videos he posted on social media, he can be seen falling a number of times.

And then in one video it appears he crashed into a rock and ended up in a position where his ski is stuck in the ground. He begs his teammate during filming “brother, please help me”, but to no avail as he remains on the ground.

Eventually someone comes to help him, and in a later post on his Instagram story, Nurmagomedov asked his teammate Islam Mamedov: “This is called skiing on asphalt, explain why you are laughing?” However, he appeared unharmed by the incident.

In the caption for his Instagram post, Khabib wrote: “Another great weekend in Utah. This time I thought I was being professional, but that was the start of all my problems. Always protect yourself. I hope I'll be ready to wrestle in the morning.”

He also shared a video of the ride on his Instagram Stories, describing his time as “an amazing weekend in Utah.”

Khabib Nurmagomedov is currently training fighters for three world title fights in one week

The former world champion is in America for a large series of training camps. Next week his team heads to Los Angeles for UFC 311 at the new Intuit Dome, with Islam Makhachev defending his lightweight title against Arman Tsarukyan and Umar Nurmagomedov going for Merab Dvalishvili's bantamweight gold.

When that's over, he returns to the Middle East for a historic evening in Dubai. PFL brings their Champions Series to the region for the first time, with Usman Nurmagomedov defending the Bellator lightweight title against Paul Hughes.

It is a particularly emotional evening for the Russian team, who will be forced to relive their bitter 2018 feud with Conor McGregor. While Nurmagomedov ultimately made a fortune and built his name on that infamous night at UFC 229, it was also a low point in his career due to the wildness surrounding the fight.
