Rashford to Milan transfer update with 2 stumbling blocks & ex-teammate pushing

MARCUS RASHFORD's move to AC Milan hit two stumbling blocks.

The Manchester United star is set to leave the club this month after struggling with his form.

The 27-year-old Rashford has not featured in any of the Red Devils' last six games under manager Ruben Amorim.

AC Milan is a club that would like to bring the England international to San Siro.

The striker's former teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic is pushing for a transfer.

The legendary Swede played with Rashford between 2016 and 2018 during his 19-month spell at Old Trafford.

However, there are two stumbling blocks that could derail the deal.

The Rossoneri will have to sell Noah Okafor before a deal for Rashford can be completed.

However, the Swiss star is in talks with Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig and a move is believed to be close.

Another problem is Rashford's mega wages that he currently receives at Manchester United.

The club currently pays him a whopping £325,000 per week.

Therefore, the Red Devils will have to pay half his wages to facilitate a move to Italy.

This means the club would still pay him £162,500 per week while he plays for AC Milan.

Rashford has scored four goals and assisted one more in his 14 Premier League appearances this season.

His agent and brother Dwaine has flown to Italy to meet AC Milan's recruitment team and held exploratory talks.

Rashford is still expected to explore his other options, with several clubs interested in his services.

In the Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur are said to be planning a shock loan deal.

German giants Borussia Dortmund are also keen on him and are willing to compete for his signature.
