Barcelona facing discplinary action from Spanish Federation after Olmo reaction

Barcelona president Joan Laporta may face disciplinary action as his counterpart Rafael Louzan considers taking action against him over his response to the temporary registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor.

After the decision was made, Laporta loudly and violently celebrated the order but crossed some boundaries at the King Abdullah Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Before Barcelona won 2-0 against Athletic Club, Laporta shouted at some regional presidents of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, insulting them. He also reportedly gave Louzan a fancy dress costume.

According to Marca, this prompted Louzan to apologize to the RFEF regional presidents for Laporta's behavior, after which he was asked how much more of his behavior they would have to put up with. The RFEF president responded that they are investigating a possible disciplinary sanction against Laporta. It is noted that this could have long-term consequences for Laporta and Barcelona, which have seriously damaged relations with the RFEF.

It is not yet clear what the possible sanctions for Laporta could be, but with Barcelona having a lot to do with the RFEF, the damage to relations could be the more serious consequence. Laporta has yet to speak publicly this year since Olmo and Victor's registration drama began, but will speak to the media next week.
