I'm a big fan of Jose Mourinho. He has been a great manager over the years, one of the all-time greats, but I don't see how this job at Everton fits the bill.
Everton are embroiled in a huge relegation battle. I think it's out of them and Ipswich to go down. Mourinho needs to be higher in the league than stuck in fifth place.
I just don't see how Mourinho does it differently than Sean Dyche. I don't see any difference in that. He is a big name in football, but I would be careful with that.
They don't score many goals, but it's not like Mourinho comes in and they can play football freely.
He had the best Chelsea team of all time and it didn't go smoothly. Winning 1-0, 2-0 every week, never conceding a goal, but Dyche doesn't let in too many goals either. It's a strange thing to me. I think it's the owners who want a huge football name.
If a job came up in the bottom three or four of the league, Dyche would get it because if anyone can get you out of trouble, it's him.
If you want to bring in someone to take Dyche's place, you need to bring in someone with a thick skin, like Mourinho. You have to bring in someone who will do it his way, but there aren't many of those.
I have a lot of respect for Dyche because he does it his way and doesn't listen to the audience or think he should just go. He says, 'This is my team and we're going to be tough to beat.'
They played against three of the biggest teams in the country: Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City and drew three games. But the next minute they go away, losing at home to Nottingham Forest and then to Bournemouth. Instead of being three undefeated, it becomes four and five without a win.
