FULHAM star Andreas Pereira appeared to send a cryptic message to fans with his bizarre training outfit.
The former Man Utd star wore a t-shirt with the acronym 'MILF' on it earlier this week.
It comes as Pereira remains strongly linked with a move away from West London in January.
Brazilian club Palmeiras have reportedly returned with an improved offer after a £16million approach was rejected last weekend.
Pereira reported for training on Tuesday and briefly posed with teammate Calvin Bassey.
He was wearing a shirt with the letters MILF on it, but that didn't represent what you might think.
Under the acronym, the words were explained as: “Man, I love Fulham.”
Pereira – in an apparent dig at his critics – captioned the snap “Say less” and added a silent emoji.
The 29-year-old – who joined the club from United in 2022 – has 18 months left on his current contract in west London.
The Brazilian was left out of a match against Tottenham by boss Marco Silva last month after giving an interview in which he appeared to suggest it would be “very cool” to join Ligue 1 club Marseille.
Pereira insisted that his comments had been lost in translation, but the Brazilian journalist who conducted the interview subsequently released the audio, which showed that Pereira DID say what he had quoted.
Pereira raged on Instagram: “Unfortunately the piece contains statements attributed to me that I did not make.
“The translation into English was done in a malicious and inaccurate manner, completely distorting my words.
“In the interview I clearly expressed my happiness and satisfaction with my stay at Fulham and my gratitude for everything the club and staff have done for me, emphasizing at all times that I have two years left on my contract and that I am completely focused on the club.
'However, the article contains comments that are neither accurate nor reflective of what I actually said.
“I deeply regret the unprofessional conduct displayed in this situation and respectfully request that the citations wrongly attributed to me be retracted.
“It is essential to uphold the truth and ensure that public debate is based on facts.”
Asked after the match whether Pereira was left out of the squad because of his interview, Silva said, according to The Standard: “No, not at all.”
Pereira started for Fulham in the third round of the FA Cup against Watford on Thursday.
The Brazilian – named captain for the first time – proved too skillful for the Championship side, scoring an assist in a comfortable 4-1 win.
He has now played eighteen games in all competitions this season and scored twice.
After leading the Cottagers to victory, Pereira wrote: “Great team performance today, and it's an honor to wear the captain's armband for the first time for this club.
“Thank you to the fans for your incredible support. It really means a lot!
'See you Tuesday! Let's move forward together.'
