Earlier this week, Barcelona were given a precautionary measure to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, although it could soon be withdrawn. The decision by the Supreme Council of Sport (CSD) has been met with outrage in Spanish football, and La Liga is now aiming to have it reversed.
After confirmation was received on Wednesday that Barcelona would be allowed to sign Olmo and Victor on a provisional basis, La Liga and the Spanish Football Federation were informed that they could appeal the decision, and the former has now opted to do so, as reported by Marca.
La Liga is even pushing for the decision to be revoked as soon as possible, after a complaint has been filed with the regular courts. Their argument is that the decision of the High Council for Sport is not in accordance with their regulations, nor with those of the Federation.
Barcelona will be shocked by this news as they will desperately try to avoid Olmo and Victor being signed off for the second time in a matter of weeks. For now we have to wait and see what the outcome will be.
