Mackenize Dern and Amanda Ribas hits the scales as first UFC event of 2025 edges closer

Fans won't have to wait much longer for the return of the great mixed martial arts.

The UFC has taken almost a full month off since Joaquin Buckley vs. Colby Covington on December 14th.

Bloodthirsty fight fans were desperate to see the world's best fighters back in the Octagon.

Fortunately, Dana White will perform his first show of 2025 on Saturday night at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

UFC Vegas 101 weigh-in results

Strawweight contenders Mackenzie Dern and Amanda Ribas will rematch in the UFC Vegas 101 headliner.

In 2019, Ribas picked up a unanimous decision to spoil Dern's previously perfect MMA record.

Six years later, they are top contenders trying to get a shot at UFC 115-pound champion Zhang Weili.

Dern, Ribas and 26 other fighters hit the scales for UFC Vegas 101 on Friday morning.

The main eventers scored well, but two undercard athletes were overweight due to their fights.
