Inter considering summer move for PSG’s Gianluigi Donnarumma

Inter Milan could be looking at Gianluigi Donnarumma (25) from Paris Saint-Germain this summer, according to a report by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

Di Marzio writes that the Serie A team is preparing for the future and is looking for a successor for Yann Sommer, who turned 36 last month and will enter the final year of his contract next season.

Despite Donnarumma having made his professional debut for AC Milan after developing through the club's youth academy, the goalkeeper is believed to share Inter's interest and would not be opposed to playing for his formative club's fierce rivals.

There was little love lost among Milan fans when Donnarumma returned to San Siro for PSG's Champions League group stage match last season. The goalkeeper was showered with counterfeit banknotes in protest against his transfer-free departure.

Donnarumma's time in the French capital was successful on the domestic front, but in the Champions League it was marked by numerous high-profile mistakes. These mistakes have even seen the Italian captain lose his place in Luis Enrique's starting XI at times this season.
