Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has praised Ronald Araujo's resilience ahead of Sunday's Supercopa de Espana final, amid rumors over the fit-again defender's future.
Barca, the most successful side in Supercopa history with 14 titles, are preparing to meet rivals Real Madrid in Sunday's showpiece event in Saudi Arabia, the second Clasico of the season.
The Blaugrana can count on Uruguayan international Araujo, who recently returned to action after being out for five months with a hamstring injury.
However, with Barcelona still struggling to meet LaLiga's strict salary cap rules, reports have suggested Araujo could be in line for an exit, with Arsenal and Juventus linked.
During Saturday's pre-match press conference, Flick said of Araujo: “Ronald is back stronger than ever.
“He is an excellent option for us, very professional and ready to play. I don't pay attention to the rumours. I'm just happy to have him by my side.”
“I told the team: 'There is only outside noise, you have to be cohesive and strong'. It's a great season, we have done well overall.
“We have to be focused. We have played well for the club and we can do even better. I know what we want.”

Barca's financial problems meant they were unable to register attacking midfielder Dani Olmo, making him ineligible for the first few games of 2025, although a successful appeal means he could feature on Sunday.
Asked about Olmo's readiness for the match, Flick said: “Yes, he can play. He is physically and mentally prepared and is very happy with this opportunity.”
Barcelona crushed Madrid 4-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu when the teams last met in October, but Flick is expecting a different match this time and has stressed the need for discipline.
“We have to play 90 minutes and reduce the number of mistakes. Madrid are exceptional in transitions and we have to be prepared,” he said.
“This is the Supercopa, a Clasico, and a chance to prove ourselves. If we win, it will be a huge victory for the club.”
