Chelsea player ratings: Tyrique George thrives in rare run-out

TYRIQUE GEORGE was involved in THREE of Chelsea's five goals as the Blues cruised past Morecambe to reach the fourth round of the FA Cup.

League Two strugglers Morecambe's low block had frustrated Enzo Maresca's side, with Christopher Nkunku giving away an early penalty.

Tosin's deflected potshot strike broke Morecambe's stubborn form and lifted the mood among the worried home fans in the 39th minute.

A quick and slick move from Chelsea doubled the lead shortly after half-time, before Tosin's long-range beauty finished off Morecambe.

Two late goals from Joao Felix added to Chelsea's score and sealed the Premier League side's place in the next round.

Here, SunSport's Katherine Walsh rates Chelsea's players at Stamford Bridge.

Filip Jorgensen-5

Never really had any problems in the Chelsea net, but made a few shaky collections.

Found time to show off some nice moves in the first half but dropped the ball in a dangerous position a few minutes later.

Reece James-7

The injury-prone English full-back was in with a chance of making his first start since November 3.

Assisted Chelsea's first after denying Tosin and was substituted at half-time – to protect his fitness.

Axel Disasi-6

Turned inside out for the odd rare Morecambe attack but little challenged throughout the game.

Saw himself in the best position to grab a header from the back post but missed a sitter to make it 3-0 just after sitting back on the hour mark.

Tosin Adarabioyo-8

Many would have been shocked that he was left out of Palace, but the defender effectively secured Chelsea's place in the next round.

His fluke broke the deadlock from a poor deflection from Morecamebe's Callum Jones, who naively turned his back.

But his second was nothing short of sensational after he curled the ball in from 20 yards. Get that out of your net.

Renato Veiga-5

Veiga, who has been strongly linked with a move away from Chelsea in recent days, was often not strong enough against Ben Tollitt.

The left-back was unlucky to have his attempt saved, but his shot fell back to Nknuku, who scored.

Romeo Lavia-5

The Belgian, who has been absent for Chelsea's last five Prem matches, had a quiet first 45 minutes.

The former Southampton star was replaced by Marc Cucurella at half-time.

Joao Felix – 7

Involved in the early Chelsea pressure with a number of shots going just wide in the opening 30 minutes.

Did well to keep the ball in play and win a penalty in the first half before forcing Burgoyne into an excellent save just before the half-hour mark.

After the break he continued to work hard and was rewarded late on with two quick goals.

Pedro Neto-5

Was the only player to keep his place from the 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace last weekend.

Was dangerous when he got the ball as he stretched his legs to demonstrate his pace, but he missed an end product.

Christopher Nkunku-6

His hopes of a Premier League start may have been dealt a blow after his weak penalty was easily saved by keeper Harry Burgoyne's full stretch.

The League Two stopper appeared to be marginally off target, but it was nevertheless a weak shot.

The Frenchman made amends by firing the ball into the low corner five minutes after the break to double Chelsea's lead.

Tyrique George-8

Grabbed his rare start by the scruff of the neck with some clever footwork and crosses into the box, but missed a finished product early on.

The youngster who has more than impressed in his time at Chelsea so far was probably their most eloquent striker of the afternoon.

The 18-year-old was involved in the second after quickly feeding the ball to Cucurella, who diverted Veiga's blocked shot into the path of goalscorer Nknuku.

And assisted both of Joao Felix's goals after two fast breaks in the 70th and 75th minutes.

Marc Guiu-4

Anonymous today. He had just three touches in the first half but was starved of service.

The Spaniard had the chance to open the score halfway through the first half, but shot his effort into the side net.

Subs

Gusto ('46 James) – 6

He struggled to get into the game as his teammates ran wild in the second half.

Cucurella ('46 Lavia) – 8

The Premier League starter provided the much-needed impetus after the break.

The Spanish star picked up two assists, first for Nkunku and later for Felix's second and Chelsea's fifth.

Several times a few shots went just wide.

Sancho ('46 Neto) – 5

Tried to get the ball but didn't excel against lower league defenders.
