Barcelona club president Joan Laporta has put herself on a new collision course with La Liga in 2025.
The outspoken Barcelona boss has criticized La Liga over Dani Olmo's registration debacle, which has dominated headlines in recent weeks.
Following an ongoing legal battle, Barcelona have been granted a temporary reprieve, with Olmo and Pau Victor available for the remainder of the campaign.
The decision of the Higher Sports Council (CSD) will be appealed by La Liga, with numerous clubs expressing their frustration at the exemption.
Barcelona have both players available for tomorrow's Spanish Super Cup final against Real Madrid, but the situation could change again in February.
Laporta celebrated the CSD call-up in front of La Liga and RFEF officials in Jeddah and he is ready to battle them again in court.
“The Super Cup is surrounded by controversies that could have been avoided if things had been handled differently. The fact is that it has now been resolved and they can play. From Barça's perspective we are satisfied,” said Marca.
La Liga are yet to confirm a timeline for their appeal against the CSD, with the RFEF expected to support their case.
