Manchester City star Savinho barely managed to avoid injury after falling into the photographer's pit during the FA Cup third round at home to Salford.
The incident took place at the Etihad Stadium midway through the first half when Savinho struggled for the ball with Salford's Curtis Tilt.
The winger eventually fell into the pit, prompting photographers to quickly get out of the way.
Savinho, making his first appearance in the FA Cup, was helped out of the pits by a photographer, with Tilt also passing by to provide assistance.
However, Savinho seemed uninterested in Tilt's offer to help, causing the pair to argue.
City were 2-0 ahead at the time of the incident thanks to goals from Jeremy Doku and Divin Mubama. Nico O'Reilly later added a third goal, with Jack Grealish scoring a penalty in the second half. City ultimately had an 8–0 win when James McAtee scored a hat-trick in the second period and Doku scored his second goal of the match with a penalty.
Savinho, 20, has gained plenty of experience since joining City last summer.
The match against Salford was his 26th appearance for City in all competitions, while he scored one goal and provided eight assists.
Pep Guardiola's side will be determined to regain the FA Cup this season.
After beating rivals Manchester United in the 2023 FA Cup final, City lost to the same opponents last year.
Guardiola recently suggested Savinho is 'in better form' than fellow City winger Grealish.
The City boss recently explained his decision to start Savinho instead of Grealish against West Ham.
“No matter how much Grealish looks at himself, he will see the competition,” Guardiola said. 'He has to compete with himself. Savinho is in better shape and everything than Jack and that's why I played Savinho.
'I want the Jack who won the Treble. But that's why I try to be honest with myself. What happened to Savinho's delivery in the box? It's higher than the other wingers in that position.'
Guardiola stated that Grealish will have to fight with Savinho for a regular starting spot.
He said, 'And they have to fight. You can say, “Okay, it's unfair.” If that's what you think, then it's okay. But you have to prove: 'I'm going to fight with Savinho, to deserve to play in that position'. And every day, and every week and every month.'
