Marcus Rashford must decide his future after Serie A side make offer for the Man Utd star

Marcus Rashford must decide whether to join ambitious Italian side Como after they said they would match his £325,000-a-week salary at Manchester United.

Rashford says he is ready for a “new challenge” after his spectacular row with United boss Ruben Amorim and his representatives flew to Italy this week to meet AC Milan officials. Rashford is keen to move to Milan and believes the seven-time Champions League winner can provide him with the platform to revive his career.

However, they will not pay all his wages as part of a loan deal, and their top earner is Alvaro Morata on £150,000 per week. United have ruled out paying £175,000-a-week to take Rashford off the books.

They value the former England striker at £40 million and he has three and a half years left on his contract at Old Trafford. They would like to sell it because all the money could go to rebuilding Amorim as profits under PSR.

Como, owned by Indonesian multi-billionaires the Hartono family, sees an opportunity and is willing to pay Rashford's full salary. However, the club, managed by former Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas, are struggling at the bottom of Serie A after gaining promotion last season and may not be the opportunity Rashford is looking for.

Como knows signing Rashford would be a big statement and his former United teammate Raphael Varane is a club ambassador. Rashford's former England colleague and free agent Dele Alli has also just joined them to train at the Lombardy club.

Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are also charmed by the hitman, who has only scored seven goals in 24 games this season. Rashford, 27, has already ruled out a lucrative move to the Saudi Pro League and believes he can perform in one of Europe's top leagues.

Rashford feels his United career under Amorim has ended and he has not played for them since coming off the bench against Nottingham Forest on December 7. Amorim was unhappy with his attitude in training and dropped him for last month's derby win over Manchester City. the Etihad.
