Torino coach Vanoli: We lacked courage to beat Juventus

Kenan Yildiz had Juve ahead before Nikola Vlasic scored Toro's equalizer.

Vanoli said afterwards: “With a little luck we could have made history today, but I am happy with my people.

“At first we were too shy, but we often got the ball back when we pressed collectively. I was more upset when we had the ball. We were well positioned and we didn't stress their defense enough. We lacked courage to win the game in the second half, and we always have to have that.”

When Vanoli was sent off after a collision with Juve coach Thiago Motta, who also saw red, he added: “This is what makes football fun. There is tension and you feel it on the field. I need to improve this.”
