Led by Mauricio Pochettino, the 24 players called up for the friendly matches against Venezuela and Costa Rica started their preparation.
The first camp of 2025 has begun for the United States Men's National Team (USMNT), now led by Mauricio Pochettino, as preparations begin for friendlies against Venezuela and Costa Rica.
The 24 players called up by Pochettino have already reported and started training this Wednesday at Inter Miami's facilities in Fort Lauderdale, with the aim of reaching top form ahead of these matches.
This USMNT roster features mostly MLS players as the camp does not coincide with an official FIFA window, meaning the Argentina coach cannot rely on the usual core of Europe-based players.
This situation requires extra effort from both Pochettino and his squad as MLS is currently in its off-season and teams have only just begun preseason preparations. For the USMNT, regaining match fitness quickly will be crucial for their upcoming friendlies against Venezuela and Costa Rica.
The team will train at Inter Miami's facilities from Wednesday to Friday, January 17, before facing Venezuela at Chase Stadium in their first match of the year.
