Spanish Super Cup 2025
2-5
- Mbappe (5')
- Rodrygo (60')
Match report
La Blaugrana return to Spain with a first title for Hansi Flick thanks to an incredible 5-2 win in Saudi Arabia.
Kylian Mbappe's opening goal was a rare bright spark for the holders as Barcelona quickly took control of the King Abdullah Sports City arena through Lamine Yamal's equalizer.
A penalty from Robert Lewandowski and a beautiful header from Raphinha took the game away from Los Blancos before half time and Alejandro Balde made it 4-1 in extra time.
Raphinha scored his second of the match less than three minutes after the restart as the evening's chaos continued.
Wojciech Szczesny was sent off for a foul on Mbappe, and Rodrygo Goes fired home from the resulting free-kick, but the defending champions would not mount a late rally.
Barcelona now take on Real Betis in midweek Copa del Rey action with Real Madrid at home to Celta Vigo.
