Matteo Darmian scored the winner for the Nerazzurri.
“It wasn't easy for us after losing the final like that, but the boys did so well despite coming here tired and missing a lot of players,” Inzaghi told DAZN.
“If we analyze the second half, all our actions could have led to a second goal, and if you don't finish the game it remains open, especially with great saves from Stankovic. It wasn't easy, but we won and that's what we wanted.
“I see the positive aspect of that because if Inter make the headlines when they lose, it shows how rare that is and that over the years we have made people used to winning. The defeat hurts, but we are not looking for excuses, we know we have to improve.”
He added: “We have achieved 43 points in 18 games, but other teams are also keeping up the pace and there are still many games to go.”
