Pep Guardiola expected to move out of £8.5m family home after ‘split from wife’

PEP GUARDIOLA is expected to move out of his £8.5million family home after he and his wife reportedly split.

The Manchester City boss, who has three adult children with his fashion boss wife Cristina Serra, has always stayed at the family home when back in the Catalan capital.

The luxury property in Barcelona's most elite neighborhood was once owned by Nou Camp legend Rafa Marquez.

Guardiola, 53, bought the pad for £8.5 million through a company he ran with his wife from a Russian businessman in February 2021.

The four-storey house, near a ten-kilometre stretch of unpaved roads on the outskirts of Barcelona called Carretera de les Aigues, has a large swimming pool on site.

It occupies a plot of more than 22,000 square meters and the house itself is a whopping 8,000 square meters.

The Catalan press seized on the house purchase, which was made public in June 2021, as a sign that Guardiola could be planning a return to Barcelona following the election of Joan Laporta as president.

Cristina moved into the property two years after leaving Manchester to return to her hometown.

However, it is now being reported that Guardiola will leave the property following his split from Cristina.

The respected Spanish news channel El Confidencial today described the mansion as “the perfect place for a divorce without anyone discovering when you leave or enter.”

Guardiola is expected to continue living in a £2.7million luxury home in Salford.

Although it insisted the couple had spent Christmas together at the property with their three children Maria, 24, Marius, 22, and 17-year-old Valentina.

It added: “It is the mansion that marked the physical distance between Guardiola and his wife in 2021.”

Barcelona-based newspaper Sport reports that Guardiola and Cristina decided to end their relationship in December while they were both in Spain.

Their relationship remains “cordial, stable and friendly”, despite the decision to part ways.

Lorena Vazquez, the journalist who broke the shocking news, has revealed that Pep and Cristina did not split because of a third person.

Vazquez, who is part of a highly respected reporting duo known in Spain as the Mamarazzis, said overnight: “It has been a well-considered decision that the pair have been talking about for months.

“They still have a cordial and affectionate relationship.

“No one else is involved. There are no third parties. We continue to see them together.”

After revealing the couple's shock split, she added: “They didn't expect journalists or media to confirm this split, but I can assure you they live separately and only a small handful of people knew about it.”

The report claims they lived apart for almost five years after Cristina moved back to Barcelona to run her fashion business.

But she moves between Spain and London and still spends time with Guardiola.

City declined to comment when contacted over reports of the split.

Guardiola is said to have met Cristina at the age of 18 in her family's clothing store, Serra Claret.

He was modeling for designer Antonio Miro at Serra's store when he first met Cristina.

And as recently as January 2024, the former midfielder revealed that Cristina helps pick out his matchday outfits.

Serra Claret stocks many brands he has worn on the sidelines, such as Dsquared2, CP Company and Armani.

Despite meeting as teenagers, they waited a long time to get married.

They married in 2014 in an intimate ceremony in Spain – a private service especially for close family in Catalonia.

Eldest daughter Maria, 24, is a model with more than 900,000 followers on Instagram.

Son Marius, 22, currently lives in Dubai and runs three companies, one of which focuses on advertising and marketing.

And the youngest Valentina, 17, is focused on studying.
