Aston Villa v Juventus: Unai Emery magic, Key Match-Ups and How to Buy Tickets
If there's one thing Unai Emery is good at, it's European football. The Spanish manager has enjoyed success with both Sevilla and Villarreal in the Europa League, taking Arsenal to the final in his only season there. The early pace at Villa suggests that this will be the case again.
After Villa reached the top four, Emery came into the Champions League with a bang, beating Bayern Munich at Villa Park through a brilliant goal from Jhon Duran. They currently sit 8th in the 36-team rankings and are just on course for a bye to the quarter-finals. That said, Juventus are only two points behind in eleventh place.

The concern for Villa will be that their form has failed of late. Emery's side are on a four-match losing streak and are struggling to find their form. Their opponents won the Turin derby before the international break, but that was only their second win in six games, and the fact they are playing AC Milan the weekend before the match will not work in their favor. Against Emery is one of his former players, Thiago Motta.
Despite signing Douglas Luiz from Villa last summer, Motta uses a 4-2-3-1 formation with wide wingers and Teun Koopmeiners behind Dusan Vlahovic. His commitment to free-flowing, ball-based systems is in stark contrast to a counter-attacking master in Emery. If the Basque coach can provoke an emotional response, he could even have the best of the game in terms of style, against a Juve team that is also relatively inexperienced in Europe.
If you would like to attend what will be a historic evening in Birmingham, you have several options available to you. After decades of absence from Europe's premier competition, it could be a special atmosphere to welcome the Bianconeri to Villa Park, as was of course proven against Bayern.
There are still a few hospitality tickets left for the clash on the Aston Villa website, as well as a handful of general admission tickets. They will set you back €278, although it is cheaper (€232) for under 14s. The cheapest way to attend the match is to be a Juventus fan, as they used to sell tickets for just €60, but that no longer appears to be the case.
In addition to these options, fans can go to third-party websites to search for tickets. Ticombo has some tickets for €140, and Stubhub starts their prices at €146. At the time of writing, they have about 200 tickets left. The most common in terms of tickets, 327 at the time of writing, is LiveFootballTickets.com.
If you go to LiveFootballTickets.com you have the best chance of getting a seat next to the person you are traveling with, and the cost is a little more: €157. At international matches, and especially if you come from far away , however, the service can be much more important. LiveFootballTickets.com will offer a dedicated customer service channel and boasts a 4.8 out of 5 rating from more than 12,000 Trustpilot reviews.
