Sean Dyche is confident new Everton manager David Moyes will take the club forward as the Scot prepares for his first game since returning to Goodison Park.
Moyes returned to Merseyside last Saturday for his second spell in charge of the Toffees after Dyche was sacked following a poor run of results in the Premier League.
Dyche took charge of Everton in January 2023 and helped them survive relegation in both of his campaigns at the helm, despite an eight-point deduction from 2023-2024.
But this season Everton sit 16th in the Premier League, one point above the relegation zone, while their poor performances this season saw Dyche sacked.
They have failed to score in eleven different top-flight games this season. It's just one fewer game in which they didn't score compared to all of last season (12).
Everton have also scored just fifteen Premier League goals this season, better than only Southampton (twelve) and at least five fewer than any other team in the division so far.

Moyes returns to the dugout at Goodison Park on Wednesday as the Toffees take on Aston Villa, a side he has beaten 13 times in 34 games against them in the top flight.
However, Everton are winless in their last 11 Premier League games against Villa (D3 L8), having previously won six of their previous eight games against Villa (D1 L1).
But regardless of the outcome, Dyche believes Everton are in good hands under Moyes, labeling his two-year spell with the Toffees as “an honour”.
In a statement issued through the League Managers Association, Dyche said: “David is a manager I have great respect for.
“I believe he and his staff will help take the club forward again and build on the stable foundation we have established over the past two years.
“The right time has come to leave the club, now that the team is in good shape. My role as custodian has been played and I will always be proud of that.”
