Barcelona officially announce sale of Camp Nou VIP seats – omit key details

Barcelona has officially announced the sale of its license for 475 VIP seats for the next 30 years, a product that will become available once the renovated Camp Nou reopens. The operation is believed to be worth between 100 and 110 million euros.

President Joan Laporta had explained the deal on Tuesday and it was confirmed by the club on Thursday that the two investors would have access to the use of the seats for 30 years, and the ability to sell the use of them themselves. As happened during Laporta's press conference, the names of the investors remain uncertain, and the club also did not specify what the value was, although they did note that the documentation of the deal arrived before December 31, which according to them the registration of the shares made possible. Dani Olmo and Pau Victor. They say it will also help pay off debts for renovation work at Camp Nou.

Previously, Institutional Vice President Elena Fort had confirmed that she also did not know the names of the entities that had made the purchases. In their announcement, Barcelona refers to them exclusively as 'Middle Eastern investors'. This lack of transparency has been heavily criticized by Laporta's rivals, while La Liga have explained that they believe the documentation was not in time to register Olmo and Victor.
