Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies to meet with Real Madrid after failed contract talks

Following reports that Alphonso Davies' agent had instructed contracts to be drawn up for a deal with Real Madrid, Los Blancos have today received a second boost in the long-running transfer saga. Nedal Huoseh will leave the Bavarian capital tomorrow without a new agreement having been reached.

BILD arrived for talks last week and reported (via Diario AS) that no agreement had been reached. Bayern presented a final offer of €15 million net per year, plus a signing bonus of €15 million. However, there is still a difference of around one to two million euros between what Davies' agent asks for and what Bayern offers.

As such, Huoseh will arrange meetings with Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid to see what they can bring to the table. Bayern's offer is better than what Los Blancos are willing to pay, but if a deal is not struck with Davies' current club, Real Madrid will be backing themselves to get a deal done.

Naturally, the Premier League is likely to put more money on the table for Davies, and none of that trio has players that Davies feels he can't beat for a place in the starting XI. Real Madrid had been counting on Ferland Mendy, but his dip in form is likely to remove any doubt that Davies would secure a starting place at the Santiago Bernabeu.
