New Mohamed Salah approach made with Liverpool star set for huge new offer

Al-Hilal have entered into talks with Mohamed Salah's representatives as they prepare a bid for the Liverpool star.

Salah, 32, has been in sensational form for the Reds this season but has less than six months left at Anfield. And because no new agreement has yet been concluded, the attacker is now free to negotiate with clubs abroad.

Interest in Salah from Saudi Arabia has been well documented over the past 18 months, with Al-Ittihad seeing a huge £150 million bid rejected for the Egypt international in the summer of 2023.

Like many of their Saudi Pro League counterparts, Al-Hilal have been long-time admirers of Salah – and they are now prepared to shell out big money in a bid to land him.

As first revealed by L'Equipe, Al-Hilal has resumed contact with Salah's representatives to discuss the prospect of the Liverpool star playing in Saudi Arabia next season.

They expect to part ways with Neymar at the end of the season, freeing up both a significant sum of money by taking his wages off the books and, crucially, a free spot for another foreign player. Neymar has suffered injuries during his expensive period in Saudi Arabia and wants to move.

He has opened talks with three MLS teams about a move to America this year, and has expressed his desire to reunite with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at Inter Miami – although it is understood they are not one of the three sides he is with having conversations. this point.

Earlier this month, Salah reiterated that he and the club were no closer to an agreement, telling Sky Sports: “There is nothing, no progress. We are still a long way from any progress, so we just have to wait and see.”

He fueled further concerns about his future by again suggesting that, as things stand, this is the last season at Anfield, adding: “I think the thing in my head is okay if this is your last six months or last year, what do you want? see in the future? Do you want to look back and say, “I was worried about the contract or stressed?” or do you just want to say, 'Okay, I had an incredible season.'

“So that's in my head now. When I feel some kind of distraction, I remind myself, 'Okay, you want to look back and say I had an incredible season,' so that's what I want to do.”
