AFC Bournemouth are pleased to announce the signing of winger Zain Silcott-Duberry.
The 19-year-old, who has progressed through Chelsea's youth academy since 2017, has signed a professional contract with the Cherries.
During his time with the Blues, the exciting prospect represented England at under-15, under-16 and under-17 level.
Speaking about joining AFC Bournemouth, Silcott-Duberry told afcb.co.uk: “I am very happy. It's a new journey for me, which is important. I strongly believe in being ambitious and being yourself, and exploring how to have the best career, so here I am.
“You see the portfolio of what the club is building. That helped me, but also seeing young players making their debut.
“There is an opportunity to look in the mirror and say, 'This could be you, if you put your mind to it and work for it' and that's what I'm here to do.
“I want to be open to learning, helping myself become a better player and getting better every day.”
Silcott-Duberry, who was previously on the books of Norwich City, played against the Cherries for Chelsea in the Premier League Cup earlier this season.
He also found the net against Anderlecht in the Premier League International Cup.
Alan Connell, AFC Bournemouth development team manager, said: “We are pleased that the club has signed someone of Zain's quality and potential.
“He obviously comes from a great academy at Chelsea and once we knew he was available, everyone at the club worked hard to bring him in. We are very happy that he is now an AFC Bournemouth player.
“The club has shown time and again how confident it is in playing young players, so he knows there is an opportunity here if he commits and delivers what we know he is capable of.”
