Thursday's 5-2 Copa del Rey win against Celta came at a cost for Carlo Ancelotti's side – another addition to the casualty space.
Last night's Copa del Rey against Celta was a precious victory for Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid. Eduardo Camavinga finished the match in the war and according to a medical report released by the club this morning, he has suffered an undisclosed injury to his left hamstring.
As always with issues relating to Madrid's infirmary, no return date has been set. This date will depend on how the player progresses with his injury, although similar hamstring injuries typically take around three weeks to heal.
Which games will Camavinga miss?
If the French midfielder's estimated recovery time is confirmed, he will face the next three league matches – against Las Palmas, Valladolid and Espanyol), the Copa del Rey quarter-final (a one-legged draw played between February 4 and 6 – Madrid will find out who their rivals are in Monday's draw) and the two final matchdays of the Champions League phase against Salzburg at the Bernabéu (January 22) and away to Brest (January 29).
In theory, Camavinga could potentially return for Madrid's derby against Atlético at the Bernabéu on February 9, although that will depend on whether Ancelotti deems him 100% fit to play.
Camavinga has missed fourteen games this season due to knee and muscle problems. He has made a total of 16 appearances in all competitions, with 11 starts, one goal and two assists.
