Manchester United will be aiming for back-to-back wins this weekend as club chiefs look to secure a number of deals.
The Red Devils beat Southampton in midweek, thanks in no small part to Amad, who scored a late hat-trick. It gives the Red Devils the perfect opportunity to make it back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time this season when they take on Brighton at Old Trafford.
While there is plenty to think about on the field, there is also a lot to think about. There are only two weeks left in the January transfer window, so United need to take action if they have any hope of securing a deal or two.
A number of stars continue to be linked with a move to Old Trafford, while there could be a few more exits. Find the best transfer rumors from the red half of Manchester below:
Manchester United are still 'hopeful' of a deal for Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres, despite Arsenal trying to steal a march. The Swede is popular after a brilliant season and reports earlier this week claimed Arsenal were ready to activate his £83million release clause.
But United won't let him go without a fight. According to The Independent, United's chiefs are still interested in their chances of signing the striker.
They are hopeful that their relationship with Sporting, as well as the opportunity to work with his former boss Amorim, will see Gyokeres move to Old Trafford. United are unable to pay his sky-high fee this month and are instead focusing on a summer dive.
While Gyokeres could potentially arrive at the club in the near future, Marcus Rashford is one man who appears to be on his way out. Italian side AC Milan seemed to be the favorite for his signature, but he now has another option.
According to reports, Rashford has held talks with Borussia Dortmund and Germany are set to sign him on loan. A move to the Bundesliga could see Rashford reunited with former boss Erik ten Hag.
The Dutchman has been working as a 'shadow advisor' at the Signal Iduna Park and at the same time the current boss Nuri Sahin is coming under great pressure.
And should that move to Dortmund materialize, it could give them the ammunition to seal a move in the other direction. United have reportedly set their sights on one of the German club's brightest stars. According to Sky in Germany, the Red Devils are 'seriously interested' in Jamie Gittens.
The 20-year-old is currently in the middle of an excellent season, scoring 11 goals for Dortmund this term. But United would face serious competition for his services from Bayern Munich.
They have reportedly started talks with Gittens' representatives, with a sale likely if Dortmund fail to qualify for the Champions League this season.
