Darren Till and Anthony Taylor come to blows in heated final face-off ahead of Misfits Boxing fight

Darren Till had to be dragged away from Anthony Taylor after pushing his rival in their latest showdown in Manchester tonight.

The former UFC welterweight title contender will make his Misfits Boxing debut tomorrow night at Co-Op Live in Manchester. He was due to face Tommy Fury, but the Love Island star controversially pulled out over fears he would be kicked during the fight.

Now Till will take on former Bellator star Taylor, the Misfits light heavyweight champion. From there, however, the fight has gotten significantly tougher, with Till tipping the scales at 10 pounds heavier than his last fight under the UFC banner.

Darren Till weighs a whopping 195 pounds for his boxing debut

On Friday morning, Darren Till and Anthony Taylor both took care of their fight before heading to the city center for a ceremonial weigh-in. Having previously fought as low as featherweight in his Bellator days, the 6-foot-4 American tipped the scales at a whopping 192.5 pounds.

However, Till still managed to come in a few pounds heavier at the catchweight limit of 195 pounds, as expected. The Brit struggled to reach the championship weight of 170 pounds for UFC welterweight fights, and ended his career in the promotion as a middleweight.

But he has grown even further ahead of his boxing run, which would begin tomorrow night at heavyweight against Fury. And while Taylor may have worked his way up to weight, it's likely there will be a significant difference in weight for fight night tomorrow as Till piles on more pounds.

Darren Till has to be separated from Anthony Taylor in the final face-off

After completely rejecting a confrontation with Taylor at yesterday's press conference, Till was forced to take on his rival as he ducked through security and got straight into the Brit's face at weigh-ins. This led to a push from Till and security getting involved to pull the duo apart.

Both men were uncharacteristically quiet in their post-show interviews with commentator Ben Davis, although Till opened up a bit more during the broadcast with Riley Osbourne. He seemed to have mellowed almost immediately and thanked Taylor for helping to fuel the fight during the week.

“I think I sold the fight with Tommy and everyone wanted to get in anyway,” he explained. “Anthony sold the fight for me this week, which I'm happy with, so I haven't had to do too much of the heavy lifting this week. Big respect for AT for that.

“He's actually a fun guy to be around, he brings the energy, I don't think there's anything malicious in what he does. So yeah, I don't mind AT, I don't mind him at all.
