Real Madrid star Thibaut Courtois is on course to return to the Belgian national team in 2025.
Los Blancos' number 1 is currently eighth on the Red Devils' all-time list with 102 caps.
However, following his high-profile decision to leave the team in August 2024, the 32-year-old has not added to his international appearance tally.
Courtois has been embroiled in a disagreement with head coach Domenico Tedesco, which ultimately confirmed his call-up to international duty.
Despite the lack of a solution between the two, Courtois had indicated that he was open to a comeback and the situation has taken a significant turn.
Belgium have opted to fire Tedesco due to his inconsistent results in 2024, opening the door for Courtois to return.
Belgium are next in action in the UEFA Nations League play-offs in March against Ukraine, before qualifying for the 2026 World Cup begins in June with matches against North Macedonia and Wales.
