Marcus Rashford has been heavily linked with Barcelona in recent weeks, it turns out he won't be the first Manchester United winger to move to La Liga. It rather looks like Antony will soon be on his way to Real Betis.
On Saturday, Relevo reported that Betis had increased their interest in the Brazilian forward, who has struggled to secure a starting place at Man United this season. Now Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that a deal between the two clubs is at an advanced stage.
If an agreement is reached, Antony will be loaned to Betis for the rest of the season. There would be no purchase clause in the deal, while Man United would pay part of his wages.
Betis are in need of a natural right winger following the departure of Assane Diao, and if Antony can reproduce the form he showed at Ajax prior to his move to Manchester United, this could be a very fruitful deal for Los Verdiblancos.
