Daniel Cormier gives Islam Makhachev pastries before his win at UFC 311
On Saturday evening, Islam Makhachev produced a truly sensational performance, with Renato finishing Moicano with a Brabo choke in the first round.
The performance cemented the Dagestani's place as one of the greatest lightweights the UFC has ever seen.
In the aftermath of the match, the 33-year-old was met by his good friend Daniel Cormier, who joyfully presented him with a box of pastries and then uploaded the interaction to his YouTube channel.
As Makhachev smiled, “DC” beamed: “Do you think I'm lying, brother? Especially for you. Look at that.”

As the 155-pound king opened the box, Cormier said enthusiastically, “Congratulations, champ, you're the best in the world.”
The pair then began consuming the sweet treats, with the former two-weight champion eventually having to wipe sugar from the victorious fighter's beard.
The American then insisted: “Dagestan, we are going in July this year, you and me.”

It was great to see Cormier and Makhachev get along so well, especially considering tensions broke out between the two just days earlier.
After conquering the UFC in two divisions, few would dare make fun of the Louisianans.
But it's fair to say the lightweight titleholder isn't intimidated.
After making a joke that didn't exactly go over well, Cormier gave him a huge slap.
