The Herons played their first pre-season friendly against Club America, preparing for a busy season in 2025.
Last Saturday, Inter Miami faced Club América at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The first pre-season test of the new year ended 2-2 in regular time, with the MLS side having the upper hand in a shoot-out. Javier Mascherano's side have been impressive in flashes and now set their sights on the second match of the pre-season.
The Florida team will now pack their bags and head to Peru where they will take on Club Universitario de Deportes (as part of the 'Americas Pre Season Tour'), one of the country's most decorated and popular sides with the men from Lima, also current Liga 1 champions.
The match in the Peruvian capital against Los Cremas will take place on Wednesday, January 29 at the Monumental Stadium in Lima.
Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and company will see the second match as another opportunity to prepare for the MLS season that starts next month. The Florida squad will also be involved in the CONCACAF Champions Cup and FIFA's new, expanded Club World Cup.
On to Inter Miami
Following their trip to Peru, Inter Miami travel to Panama to take on Sporting San Miguelito at the Estadio Rommel Fernández (Sunday, February 2), before traveling to Honduras to play CD Olimpia at the Estadio Olímpico Metropolitano (Saturday, February 8 ). ) and conclude their preparation against Orlando City at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa (Friday, February 14). Inter Miami opens their season on Tuesday, February 18 when they take on Sporting KC in the CONCACAF tournament.
