Darren Till gives extraordinary weight update ahead of his Misfits Boxing showdown against Tommy Fury

Darren Till is set to tip the scales at a staggering weight ahead of his Misfits Boxing match against Tommy Fury on January 18.

The former UFC welterweight title challenger extends his two-year hiatus from the octagon and takes on Tyson Fury's brother at the Co-op Live Arena, Manchester.

However, Darren Till has already dipped his toe into the world of boxing, taking part in a bizarre exhibition earlier this year.

But now 'The Gorilla' is gearing up for a professional boxing match against Tommy Fury, a reality TV star perhaps best known for his dirty fights with YouTube stars Jake Paul and KSI.

Darren Till tells Ariel Helwani exactly how much he weighs

It is well documented that Till often struggled to make the 170-pound limit as he rose as a promising UFC contender.

Nevertheless, the Brit campaigned at welterweight for the majority of his MMA career, defeating the likes of Stephen Thompson and Donald Cerrone before earning his title shot.

Shortly after stepping into the octagon with formidable champion Tyron Woodley, however, Till was forced to tap as soon as the American secured his choke in the second round.

Since then, the dangerous striker has lost four of his last five UFC appearances, with the sensible move to middleweight perhaps coming too late.

And yet, after spending most of his fighting career cutting obscene amounts of weight, Till's next assignment will be fighting all the way up to heavyweight.

In an interview with Ariel Helwani, the MMA fighter turned boxer claimed that he currently weighs around 253 pounds.

Darren Till reveals his physique ahead of Tommy Fury clash

Now that Till is campaigning at the highest weight of his career, he has seemingly eliminated the need to keep himself lean.

Fans were even stunned when Misfits Boxing – KSI's promotional outfit – posted a video of the fighter shadowboxing without his shirt on.

It was immediately clear that Till, who currently weighs 35kg above his previous fighting weight, now has some serious work to do to get himself back into shape.

Fury, meanwhile, will likely enter the ring with a typically shredded physique, despite also being noticeably undersized at heavyweight.
